What does the flag represents?




The Celebration of the 121st Independence Day of the Philippines
         On June 12 1898 the first declaration of the Independence day of The Philippines, and came to affect after President Diosdado Macapagal signed the Republic Act. #4166.
       The National Flag was first raised and the national anthem was firstly played on 1898, Each of the colors and symbols on the national flag respectively; Royal Blue for peace, truth and justice; Scarlet Red for patriotism; White for equality and brotherhood, while the three stars on each corner of the white triangle represents the Three Main Islands of the Philippines which is Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and lastly the Sun with its eight rays represents the Philippines and the eight general regions.

Independence Day is an annual national holiday in the Philippines, observed on June 12 commemorating the independence of Philippines from Spain. In this day many people, including government officials, employees, and students, participate in the nationwide parade. However, the main highlight is the police and military parade in Manila headed by the country’s incumbent president, followed by a speech and a 21-gun salute. Many Filipinos spend the day in parks and malls. Many Filipino communities in other countries also observe the nation’s Independence Day celebration.
