Environment Awareness Month

Poster On Air Pollution 🌍November is Environmental Awareness Month by virtue of Republic Act No. 9512 signed on Dec. 12, 2008. The law says the promotion of national awareness on the role of natural resources in economic growth and the importance of environmental conservation shall be done through environmental education

Taking a holistic approach to saving the earth, many of today's modern day conservationists focus on everything from pollution and energy usage to ecological health and peaceful coexistence with the animal kingdom. In other words, the same ideals are being shared by what is commonly deemed the ecology movement, green movement, peace movement and environmental movement. It's no coincidence that one of the most famous groups working in the name of these ideals calls themselves Green Peace.

We must protect and take care of our environment for what is seen in the present time us humans, our doings are the cause of our own destruction, Our doings are the cause of our own end, we must change just for the better of us and for the better of our environment.

Violence Against Women And Children

Domestic Violence AwarenessUnder Republic Act No. 9262, otherwise known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 (“VAWC”), the concept of “violence” against women and children includes not just physical violence, but also sexual violence, psychological violence, and economic abuse, including threats of such acts, battery, assault, coercion, harassment, or arbitrary deprivation of liberty.

Some women and children had been disrespected back then and overpowered by some men and thanks to the RA 9262 stopped the harming of men to women and children.

Merry Christmas!!

All of us celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December where our saviour Jesus Christ was born, but few people don't have Christmas, like INC's but for what I know,
Religion doesn't matter the true meaning of Christmas is when we share our love and care for one another, it's not about our beliefs it's about the love and care we share, give and receive from one another, it's not about the gifts that we received but to as one together and give peace one another.

Children's Month Celebration

November marks the start of National Children’s Month, as declared by the Council of Welfare for Children (CWC). This month-long event aims to promote and spread awareness on the rights of children here in the Philippines, considering the political and social climate they live in.

This year’s celebration, Pascua noted, aims to “intensify public awareness on the rights of children and remind all sectors to be responsible in raising Filipino children to become well-rounded people, and to protect them at all costs, as enshrined in the UN CRC.”.
With the help of the Rights for children they are safe and protected and well nourished.

Values Month Celebration

November is Filipino Values Month
Related imageThrough the centuries and through interactions with peoples of different cultures, Filipinos have acquired patience, filial piety, close family., integrating them into their way of life.
These values mirror the Filipino people’s rich heritage of history and culture. They manifest the things in life that Filipinos revere. With these values, Filipinos have coped with the vicissitudes of life.
One value that has not been emphasized in our people’s education is Isang dugo, one blood, one race, referring to our common origin in the past. This is one beautiful and endearing value that we must teach our child to help preserve the unity of our nation.
We observe the month of November as Filipino Values Month. So let us celebrate Filipino Values every day of the year. This will help us keep ourselves together as one.

Activities range from ceremonies, seminars, panel discussions, symposiums to series of briefings for students, art competitions, rallies, film screenings and book/photo exhibitions, media campaigns- including interviews and newspaper supplements- and social media campaigns.

Science Month Celebration

All institutions across the country, from elementary to college celebrates or implement different activities and seminars to help students enhance their thinking abilities and valuable skills and talents.  The National Science Club Month Celebration is one of the most awaited celebration among all the students of every school.

Image result for science month celebration 2019The theme of this Year's National Celebration of Science is "SCIENCE FOR THE PEOPLE, Enabling Technologies for Sustainable Development" And they have said that It is a play on the words on ammunition and immunization they would like our science clubbers to be armed, to be immune against disease through imparting knowledge about disease, on how they spread etc. The goal is not only the science clubbers to benefit knowledge but also their school and communities and thus leading to National Wellness.

We all know that Science is everywhere and somewhere, anything and everything, somebody or someone. Let me first take an introduction to refresh our minds about it, to make it short we are surrounded by Science and Technology. According to the Spark Notes of Science Discoveries, It's to discover Information about this world we live in , study information, problems, hypothesis and conclusions, a process that has started long long time ago and will continue in the near future and in generations to come. Everything in our world that we use somehow or someway was made by science. It started with discovering something now then study what can it be capable of. Science has taken to us to an entirely new place. From batteries to computers, there was just been huge breakthrough in Science. It is in both chemistry and physics. In chemistry there is discovering elements using chemical bonding. In physics there are already discovered laws and properties such as gravity, motion, speed, force, acceleration etc.  Whether the discovery is 200 years old , 100 years old or present, It's Science nonetheless. Science is all around us, from laptops that we use, car that we drive. Science is to discover information about our Natural world and even about space to help us to further understand our  Existence.

Happy Schools Movement Insight

The Department of Education (DepEd)-Region 1 had launched the “Happy Schools Movement” (HSM) to boost the efficient implementation of the K to 12 basic education curriculum in the Ilocos provinces.
The movement seeks to promote every school in the region as a better and enjoyable place to study.
Dr. Malcolm Garma, DepEd Region 1 regional director, said the regional launch of the HSM was held at the Vigan Convention Center in this city on May 20, 2019.
It was  anchored on the theme: “Paaralang Masayang Maglingkod, Tagumpay ng Bata’y Itaguyod.”
“The launching of the HSM platform is very timely as the opening of classes for school year 2019-2020 is set on June 3,” said Garma.
The HSM launching coincided with the regional launch of the 2019 Brigada Eskwela.
Garma cited the HSM platform as a key of achieving the DepEd Region 1 vision of having a generation of responsive and cross-culture competent future builders
Through this program, the learners’ full potential is given the greatest attention by creating a happier and more positive school culture.
The movement aims to inculcate in the minds of pupils that school is not just a place for learning but also a place for fun and enjoyment as they enjoy what they are doing.

Vigan City Solidarity Celebration

Vigan City Solidarity Celebration

Every September, Vigan City celebrates the World Heritage Cities Solidarity Cultural Festival.  This month-long festivity, in solidarity with other World Heritage Cities around the world, aims to strengthen the pride in the city’s history and culture, promote friendship and diversity between countries and serves as a great venue for forging ties and understanding through community’s involvement in the city’s various activities that highlights love for culture, arts and entertainment.

In Vigan this special day is actually commemorated with week-long festivities aimed at strengthening pride in the history and culture of Vigan. This aim is in keeping with the long-term goal of preserving the 630 heritage structures that date back from the 18th and 19th century. Vigan’s well-preserved Spanish trading town environ has survived the test of time, including bombings during World War II which leveled the major Philippine cities of Baguio, Cebu and Manila. Visitors can start their Vigan heritage solidarity festivities with the Repazzo de Vigan. This is a parade that is participated in by all 39 barangays, specially the students and members of non-governmental organizations. The participants dramatize the Biguenos’ way of life from Spanish time up to the period after World War II while they walk through the designated parade route, accompanied by music.
This unique parade experience is followed by the Historia Oral. The Historia Oral is a wonderful opportunity for listeners to learn about Vigan’s history, culture and day-to-day life straight from the mouths of the old, ordinary Vigan folks. Members of the senior citizens’ federation are tapped to share their experience, knowledge and love of their city through story-telling. Grade-school student listeners from Vigan join the historical-literary contest that is held in connection with the Historia Oral.
Another way to soak in the history of Vigan is to join the scheduled Visita Museo ken Balbalay, when narrators read accounts of the life of the owners of the mansions and museums that are toured. Participants are also guided through the cobbled stone-past of Vigan streets and back to the concrete present.
Putajes de Ayer or Comidas de Ayer gives a gustatory experience for visitors, who are enjoined to taste Vigan cuisine that has been enjoyed through the centuries. Food establishments offer the famous Vigan bagnet (deep-fried, sun-dried pork chunks), chicha-corn (crunchy corn), empanada (closed taco with filling), longanisa (native sausage), ukoy (fried shrimp patty) and other food associated with Vigan.
Notable among Vigan’s rice-based delicacies are the old-fashioned bibingka from Marsha’s and the salapusop, which only one family from a coastal barangay in Mindoro now knows how to make. For a more artistic experience, visitors can watch out for the Fotografias de Recuerdos, when photographs and paintings are exhibited at Vigan’s Culture and Trade Center. They can also watch the inter-barangay singing contest held at the Plaza Burgos at the end of the week.

Buwan ng Wika Celebration

Buwan ng Wika Celebration
“WIKANG KATUTUBO TUNGON SA ISANG BANSANG PILIPINO”

We celebrate Buwan ng Wika every August because it reminds us that even though English is the International Language and is commonly used by most Filipinos, we must not forget that we also have our own dialect which is tagalog. Then the language was known as “Pilipino” in an effort to dissociate it from the Tagalog ethnic group.
The celebration of Buwan ng Wika is not just a part of our history, it is also what keeps us united as a nation. A country’s language shows how rich and unique its culture and heritage is. More than being a means for communication, language bridges different communities and strengthens it. Using the national language is one the simplest way we can show patriotism. Filipino is what makes us Filipinos a true Pinoy.
With the advent of technology and rapid ‘globalization,’ our national language has seen a number of changes. While it’s true that change is inevitable, it isn’t always a good sign. Our national language is slowly losing its power and we should start doing something about it.
In 1997, President Fidel Ramos declared the Month of August as the national language month and listed it as one of the country’s cultural events.  Along with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Department of Education also ensures that the younger generation understands the cultural importance of this event.  Schools often have various events such as essay writing, poster and slogan making, debates, and poetry writing in the national language.

First quarter taught me that the internet is not just a mean for media or giving us limitless knowledge and a mass communication but a way for the gifted to earn a living. After quarter 1 I had further learned that it is what makes us evident up until now but it is also a tool that helps many people to acquire their needs for a living. I didn't thought that the internet was just a fantasy back then, it was my concious who puzzled out that it was the handiwork of their outstanding minds and their remarkable intelligence from the 19th and 20th century. They made life much easier than before by manifesting their genius on a platform that would later become the most massive figure in the history.

Before quarter 1 ended I faced challenges that are needed to put down and problems that are needed to be resolved....One of the challenges that I faced is lacking of time to finish all my activities as they said "time is gold" and being inactive most of the time,
When I'm at school I always feel so inactive but thanks to my friends and teacher in ICT10,I slowly began to change. It gaved me an inspiration on being more open to others, and now I'm more active and open to others than before. This surely is one of the best hands-on experience on social media you could ever get.
I sometimes got trouble in front of a computer but after few months of learning I have conquered my weakness. Because of this I had coped up with them. I am grateful for what my friends and teacher had taught me,
Moving on, I will now and should balance my time in doing extra activities and my school works to have a better grade and to have a great future
